Girl with a Knife

In England by the mid-19th century, medicine is still considered more of a magic than a science, and a woman should not even utter the words «childbirth» or «hemorrhoids»... The world of surgery is dominantly ruled by men, who believe that women do not belong at the surgical table and are not allowed to perform autopsies, treat wounds, and remove tumors. However, the capable girl Nora Bidy, a young protégé of the brilliant scholar Horace Croft, works as a surgeon «undercover» and is not ready to give up her beloved work, even in the face of exposure from her mentor's young assistant.

But once, conducting a daring experiment that could forever change medicine, Nora faces a difficult choice: to remain invisible and let men claim her achievements or dare to come to light, risking losing everything.
