The Language of Bones

A drunk driver crashed into a van on the Los Angeles freeway. A usual occurrence. Rather, it would be usual, if the van hadn't fled the scene, and as a result of the collision, frozen parts of human bodies didn't fall out... or bodies. An FBI agent unofficially seeks help from forensic anthropologists Jane Hall and Stily Lander, whose private agency specializes in the forensic examination of unidentified corpses.

Jane and Stily are exceptional experts in their field. They quickly establish that the body fragments belong to several women. Moreover, one of the identities can possibly be established through a surgical plate in the humerus. This fortunate lead could significantly advance the search for whoever killed and dismembered the victims. However, the euphoria is soon destined to fade: Jane and Stily's professional skills bring them too close to the killer...
