Yulia Lavryashina is the author of more than 50 prose books for adults and children, several plays, and film scripts. She is a member of the Union of Writers of Russia and a laureate of the International Children's Literature Prize named after V. P. Krapivin. Together with her son, young composer Yevgeny Lavryashin, she writes songs and musicals. The distinctive features of her prose are a tense plot and psychological depth.
