In 1817, the last novel by Austen was published, which is considered the most autobiographical work of the writer. Readers received it indifferently, however, in 1818 an anonymous review appeared in the journal "The British Critic": "...her novels possess a remarkable, finished perfection that is hard to surpass."

Anne Elliot, a young sensitive nature, falls in love with the poor sailor Frederick Wentworth. Her family hopes to protect the girl from a reckless step and does not approve of this union. The engagement is broken, but a few years later fate brings Anne back to the now matured and established Captain Wentworth. Will love give them a second chance?
