Topics in English for Excellent Results

This book is aimed at preparing applicants and high school students for passing state exams in English. It will also be useful for students preparing to enter international schools, participants in olympiads and competitions in English.

The goal of this publication is to help students in grades 9-11 develop monologic speech skills for successfully passing final exams in English in the format of OGE and EGE. The collection includes the most relevant topics listed in the codifier, which will help form the necessary communication skills in a foreign language and enrich students' vocabulary. The book consists of several sections: "Health and Illness", "Leisure and Hobbies", "Outstanding People from Different Countries", "Holidays", "Mass Media", and others. After each topic discussed, a translation of the text and a thematic dictionary will be provided.

An appendix includes a list of popular aphorisms and proverbs in English, which will help add emotional coloring to the speech.
