The Great Dream

An intellectual who dreamed of literature, he finds himself in a criminal environment, where every day he must fight, not metaphorically, for survival. He reflects on life in the new Russia, fiercely debates with his alter ego — the phantom of a deceased friend, and adjusts to conditions where the only constant — is mortal danger. This is a story about deep disappointment, the loss of faith in people, and attempts to regain that faith. Whether it has been regained — the reader will decide. The author clearly knows what has been regained — or at least attempted.
