Thea Kronborg has an incredible talent and a beautiful voice, but for a girl from a poor town in Colorado to become a great opera singer, a voice and talent are not enough. A chain of random encounters - with a country doctor, a simple drifter, a destitute music teacher - opens the way to fame for Thea, but on this path she will have to sacrifice much, including a part of her soul. "The Lark's Song" is a great American novel in the best traditions of Edith Wharton, Theodore Dreiser, and Louisa May Alcott.
