Life in Shady Hollow is settling down after dreadful crimes. The residents need nothing but good news and, of course, gossip to lift their spirits. But the crafty journalist fox Vera Vixen is already bored with sensational headlines! Her nose tells her that something is bound to happen soon. And it does when rabbits in the Cold Gardens stumble upon buried bones...
It quickly becomes clear that the skeleton belongs to a cow moose. And there is only one moose family in Shady Hollow, which runs the beloved café "At Joe's Cup". The strangest part is that several years ago, Joe's wife mysteriously disappeared. Brave detective Orville has no choice but to take the only suspect in for questioning. Outraged by this decision, Vera sets out on her own investigation. She doesn't believe that the good-natured moose could be the villain. But this only means that a murderer has been hiding in Shady Hollow for many years...

Juno Black is the pen name of authors Jocelyn Cole and Sharon Nagel. They both love good bookstores, high-quality cheeses, and expertly crafted murders (only in literary works). Although they are two different people, if you ask either of them about their childhood, you will likely receive the same answer. This is a bit disconcerting for a whole host of reasons.
