The Imbecile

The megapolis of the future sparkles with billboards, shining with steel and glass. Ubiquitous advertising drones buzz everywhere. Mia, a salesperson at the Department Store of Happiness, is immersed in routine, occasionally allowing herself to go on electronic dates or order men from a catalog. Theo, a minor employee, works at a job he dislikes, and in the evenings, only a sagging sofa and endless TV shows await him in his lonely apartment. Their monotonous gray lives flow parallel until one day a mysterious phone call rings out. Fate unexpectedly brings Mia and Theo together under very strange circumstances, turning their world inside out.
