The "New Year's Lava Lamp" experiment kit will brighten the days of waiting for the New Year and help spend time joyfully and productively. The child will learn about the amazing properties of chemistry, conduct an exciting experiment at home,...
and create an unusual lamp with their own hands.
What is a lava lamp
A lava lamp is a transparent glass container filled with translucent paraffin and clear oil, with a light bulb located at the bottom.
At normal temperature, paraffin is slightly heavier than oil and therefore sinks, but when the lamp is on, the paraffin heats up, becomes lighter, and floats.
How to conduct the experiment
Take your lamp and fill it with water up to 1/3.
Add dye, half of the glitter, and mix everything together.
Next, add 2/3 vegetable oil from home to the jar and mix everything again. Do not fill it to the very top; leave some space for bubbles.
Throw the LED into the jar. To make it work, just shake the jar so that the LED hits the wall. When it lights out, shake the jar again.
Break the tablet in half or divide it into four parts, throw one part into the jar. Close the jar with a lid.
Add the remaining parts of the tablet as the lava lamp fades.
