The House of Silence

Nine-year-old Matthias constantly dreams of the Silent Lady - she does nothing bad to him, but comes every night, looks sadly and remains silent, and now he is terrified of falling asleep. Exhausted parents turn to Pietro Gerber, a Florentine hypnotist who works with traumatized children, who agrees to help and gradually becomes immersed in the story of relentless horror that the Silent Lady wants to tell him. In this story, there will be unadulterated evil, murder, loneliness, escape, and years of silence, all of which Gerber must unravel, while discovering what he himself has forgotten.
