Boy on a Wooden Box. The Youngest on Schindler's List

Ten-year-old Leon loved riding the tram with his friends through the streets of Krakow more than anything. But everything changed overnight: German soldiers came to Poland.

Now Leon was only allowed to ride in the back of the tram. Then riding the tram was completely prohibited. One day, his family was forcibly relocated to the ghetto, and soon — to the Plaszow concentration camp, separating the boy from his parents. He endured what no child should have to endure. However, no one could take away his will to live.

His family was fortunate to get work at Oskar Schindler's factory — a man who would forever remain a hero and symbol of light for Leon and the thousands of Jews he saved, even in the darkest of times.
