City of Zilants

This side of Kazan is not shown to tourists. Taxis do not drive here, and passersby do not wander in. Here, water nymphs, covered in scales, glide in rivers and canals, while in the city park, the claws of shuraly await those who cross the invisible border. In apartments, shaggy domovoys rustle in the corners, and on the street, you might meet a talking cat (and it's better to show him respect). This is where the mighty winged zilants live - the guardians of the city, who only appear a few times a year to the awestruck residents. Thirteen-year-old Diliya learns about this when her younger brother Airat goes missing during the city celebration. And he is not the first. The police are inactive. Desperate parents find it useless to prove that the cause of it all is a black zillant, taking children to another layer of reality. To find her brother, Diliya sets off to the secret side - which has strangely and ominously changed recently. Who is behind these changes? Have the zilants really gone mad and are kidnapping children? Will Diliya be able to save Airat, and is the magical essence of Kazan as foreign to her as it initially seems?
