The Knight in the Tiger Skin

Clad in a tiger skin, the knight, who accidentally encounters an Arabian king, playfully defeats his best warriors and disappears from the battlefield. Then the king's daughter promises the general Avtandil, who is in love with her, to become his wife if he finds the elusive warrior. After long searches, Avtandil fulfills her request. But discovering that the knight himself performs feats for the sake of love and has been searching the whole world for his missing beloved for many years, Avtandil vows to help his new friend reunite with his beloved. The poem "The Knight in the Tiger Skin," telling of immortal love and loyal friendship, has remained relevant for over eight hundred years, combining eternal themes and wise aphorisms.
