The Mystery of the Secret Room

Three friends – Ilya, Kira, and Sashka – unite in the team "IKS" to investigate mysterious events. They learn, make friends, quarrel, and reconcile... and also take on cases that send shivers down even the teachers' spines!

During renovations in the west wing of the boarding house, workers find something unusual: a secret passage to a secret room. The kids from the "IKS" team can't wait to discover what the ancient walls hide, so they decide to begin their investigation. Is there really a genuine alchemical laboratory there? Meanwhile, the workers who found the room have devised something sinister, but Ilya, Kira, and Sashka are on guard.

The action of the stories unfolds in a unique place – a boarding school located in a former merchant estate from the nineteenth century. The author of the series, Svetlana Krivoshklyakova, masterfully describes the mysterious atmosphere of the ancient building and the secrets it holds. The connection between the spirit of the closed boarding house and the modern lives of ordinary schoolchildren makes the reading engaging, while the unraveling of the secrets is memorable.
