Tales and Stories

The book «Tales and Stories» includes 96 works for children — stories, fairy tales, parables, and fables, many of which were part of the 2nd volume of the famous «Alphabet». The fairy tales («Lipunyushka», «How the Peasant Divided the Geese»,... «The Three Bears» and others) are based on oral folk creativity. Interesting and simple plots of the fables («The Oak and the Hazel Tree», «The Grasshopper and the Ants», «Father and Sons») help young readers understand the rules of life in society. Observational stories («What Dew is Like on Grass», «How Wolves Teach Their Children», «How the Bukharians Learned to Breed Silkworms») awaken an interest in the surrounding world. But the most beloved by children are the touching and instructive stories about animals: «The Lion and the Dog», «Fire Dogs», «Stories about Bulka» and many others.
 
Colorful, realistic illustrations were created by the young talented artist Alexandra Egunova.
