What is good? Poems for children

This book includes 9 poems by the wonderful Russian poet-innovator Vladimir Mayakovsky. For the first time in children's literature, very important things are expressed so simply, brightly, and rhythmically: for example, the necessity of learning (“The History of Vlas –... the lazybones and sluggard”) or the ability to distinguish good from evil and act correctly (“What is good and what is bad?”). The creation of a wooden horse (“Fire-horse”) under the poet's pen transforms into an exciting process that instills respect for labor in young readers, while the poem “Whatever the page - it’s an elephant, or a lioness” gives a feeling of a fun and interesting walk through the zoo. And, of course, after reading “Cloudy's Tricks,” the whole family will enjoy watching the unusual transformations of clouds.
