Being locked in with a killer is an unenviable fate, however, such a neighbor is not as disturbing as the mess on the desk. Such are the life priorities of Hector Harrow, the concierge of the "Cavengrin" hotel.
Nevertheless, he will have to forget about the mess, as Hector, along with everyone else at the "Cavengrin", has been locked there until it is determined who killed the guest. And the main suspect is none other than Hector himself! Such a shock, especially at seventy-three years old, can knock anyone down, but Hector quickly pulls himself together. He is determined to restore his good name and tell the world the whole truth about the incident at the "Cavengrin".
At the suggestion of his old friend Helen, a retired editor, Hector writes a book about what happened. And even though the inexperienced author sometimes gets distracted by the views outside the window or musings on the morals of the youth, he cannot be denied his observant nature and sense of humor.
So, welcome to the "Cavengrin" hotel — an establishment where the price of the room usually includes the silence of the staff. But not in this case.
