During a celebration in his honor, one of the guests of the guesthouse «White Crane» unexpectedly dies. Bloody traces in the shape of butterflies are found on his body — a sign of a special poison of the Midnight Order. Accepting the challenge of the Order, which has long instilled fear in the capital and has scores to settle with the Punishment Department, the new head takes on the case.
