For centuries, the Olympians have entertained themselves with our lives. Their Cauldron is a show where mortal champions fight for the right to grant their god the throne of Olympus. The losers do not simply get eliminated. They die. Publicly. Spectacularly.

 

My name is Lyra Keres. I was planning to live quietly: to steal little by little, to stay in the shadows, not to catch the eyes of the gods. But Hades, the lord of the dead, ruined all my plans. For the first time in centuries, he enters the game. And he chooses me.

Why a thief cursed by Zeus? Why not a hero, not a warrior?
