Right after the prom, Stephanie ran away from the sleepy town of Marley to Montreal, hoping to forget her alcoholic mother Laura, the impoverished life in a shabby little house, her treacherous boyfriend, and the ridiculous tales about the witch... that supposedly dwells in the nearby forests.
