Ilya Izhevich Lerer – a Hebrew teacher since 1991. Studied at the Herzog School, Bar-Ilan University, and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, as well as in ISAA at Moscow State University, Touro Academy, and other educational institutions. Author of many courses, textbooks, and aids in Hebrew. This manual will help beginners studying Hebrew to master writing in Hebrew and reading techniques. The manual covers the Hebrew alphabet, basic reading rules with and without vowel markings, and provides a comparison of printed and handwritten letters. To reinforce skills, exercises for reading practice with answers are given, as well as exercises for practicing writing letters, graphical sequences, and sentences.
