Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Hunter S. Thompson (1937–2005) is an American writer and journalist. He is considered the founder of gonzo journalism—a genre that is extremely subjective, based solely on personal impressions. His novels and articles are always a provocation, always a rebellion, always... an explosion. His entire life is a series of the most unexpected actions; even in his own death, Thompson managed to create a spectacle. He burst into literature with the novel "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," which has been reprinted dozens of times, translated into many languages, and adapted into the well-known film "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" directed by Terry Gilliam, featuring Johnny Depp in the lead role. "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is one of the most scandalous books of the second half of the 20th century. A book that was condemned and banned. A book that was read and admired.
