Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf

«Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf» — one of the most famous folk tales. From time immemorial, it has been retold in various versions in those lands now known as Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. As is often the case in folklore, the plot of the tale has changed, passing from mouth to mouth. It is believed that there are 30 variants of «Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf» in Russian folklore, 19 in Ukrainian, and 6 in Belarusian.
