Agnia Lvovna Barto wrote the cycle "Toys" in the 1930s. The decision to publish at that time was made at a publishing house meeting. It was said about "Toys": "The poems are good, but the rhymes need to be redone; they are difficult for children's perception." Barto did not rewrite the rhymes, and after some time, the poems were still published. Now, when several generations have grown up on Agnia Lvovna's poems, it is hard to believe this story.

The poems of Agnia Barto are known and loved by grandmothers and grandfathers, moms and dads, and, of course, our children. And for the little ones who are not yet familiar with the works of this wonderful children's poet, one can only envy them. After all, they are about to have a wonderful acquaintance with the poems about their favorite toys: the teddy bear that fell on the floor; the timid little bull; the wet bunny; the cat that is not used to riding in a truck.
