Brahmajala Sutta and comments on it, translated from the Pali language. The Brahmajala Sutta is one of the most important Buddhist suttas, as evidenced by its high position as the first sutta in the entire collection of the words of... the Buddha found in the Pali Tipitaka. In it, the Buddha outlines a scheme of sixty-two views that can encompass and grasp the true essence of all philosophical views regarding the nature of self and the external world. The sutta provides a universal method to cut through the bonds of false views that keep us in samsara. The proposed book contains both the sutta itself and its commentary interpretation, based on the comments composed by the great Indian commentator Bhadantacariya Buddhaghosa (5th century CE), as well as sub-commentaries by Acharya Dhammapala (6th century) and Mahathera Nanabhivamsa (18th century). The book also contains two additional sections, the first of which is devoted to the practice of Paramis on the Bodhisattva path, and the second to the explanation of the meaning of the word "Tathagata", the most significant and profound epithet of the Buddha.
