The Gate of Spices

The Gate of Spices — a wonderful portal connecting eight kingdoms. In each of them, only one spice is grown, but they cannot do without the others. Therefore, everyone is interested in the spice trade — warriors, priests, assassins, guardians of thrones... However, only those with an innate mark can pass through the Gate, and this is by no means a privilege.

They are called bearers, they belong to the lowest caste, despised and living in poverty. Passing through the Gate always causes suffering, but is the price for unknown sins of past incarnations really so high?..
