The heavy postwar years. To save and bring to society the remaining children without parents, reception and distribution centers were created across the country. In one such institution, Kolya Pozharsky works as an assistant to the master. … On that fateful day, everyone was waiting for their salary. But the cashier did not show up on time. Kolya found her mortally wounded on the threshold of the main building. In the distance, a male silhouette was quickly retreating. Without hesitation, Pozharsky dashed after the criminal. But during the chase, the robber suddenly threw himself under a train. The bag with the money disappeared without a trace… Kolya would have to answer to the full extent of the law for the robbery and the murder of the cashier if the operatives had not suddenly uncovered the true, much more terrifying picture of the crime…
