Honor Untarnished

Alexander Ivanov, the commander of a search party, is on another expedition in Smolensk. Suddenly, fate brings the searcher face to face with an old friend, army comrade Ravil Yakupov, and memories flood over him like an avalanche. A whirlwind of events, drawn from memory, throws him back to the distant 1993. The narrative thread runs through a series of events that marked those very nineties. Starting with the collapse of a great power, the war in Chechnya, unemployment and instability, it returns to modernity, to the camp of scouts, carrying their unwavering Vigil of Memory in the impenetrable thickets of the Smolensk forests.
