The Gadfly in Exile. Interrupted Friendship

He disappeared, faking his suicide, and returned to his homeland after thirteen years... «The Gadfly» — the most famous novel by English writer Ethel Lilian Voynich, which brought her worldwide fame. Thirteen years later, she returned to the fate of the beloved hero in the novel «Interrupted Friendship» (which since the first translations into Russian has often been referred to as «The Gadfly in Exile»). It tells the story of his wanderings in Latin America, a story of harsh trials that tempered the character of the future Gadfly.
