Dream Snake

A healer named Snake wanders through a coal-black desert. In her saddlebag, three snakes lie dormant, for Snake's signature remedy is snake venom, which can cure almost anything – from tetanus to fever.

But one day, due to unfortunate circumstances, the... most valuable of her snakes dies – the pain soother, the drug snake, the dream snake. No creatures like her remain in nature, except in the Citadel, where powerful scholars reign, and where the path is forbidden to any desert dweller, even one as enlightened as a healer.

The laws of the brotherhood of healers are harsh, and Snake faces exile – they will not forgive her for the loss of such a valuable tool in the fight against Death.
And Snake has no choice but to embark on a new journey, where many dangers await her and, possibly, death...
