This is the situation faced by the heroine of the novel by Lika Akhvelidi. She changes cities and countries, allies and adversaries — from an Arab sheikh to her hated mother-in-law — and realizes that everywhere all the threads lead back to the distant past, to the five great diamonds of the world.
"Koh-i-Noor", "Darya-e-Noor", "Orlov"… They left a mark on the fates of all who touched them at least once: at the courts of the Great Mughals, Nadir Shah, Russian emperors and… in a small courtyard in Rostov. To unravel the mysteries of antiquity and save those dear in the present, Lika and her new acquaintance Zhenya Zhukova (already known to readers from the novel "Ne-bud-duroi.ru") will have to dive into the history of Persia and the Russian Empire of the 18th century, early 20th century Italy, and modern Russia.
