The Singing Frog

«Fairy tales come in different forms - folk and authorial, joyful and sad. There are stories that you could never believe. And sometimes, while reading a fairy tale, you can imagine yourself as the main character. There are also tales... that come to you on their own, almost demanding to be written.
This happened to me after a trip to the Latvian city of Gulbene. 
I remembered a garden with a cozy pond, a beautiful owner’s house, winding paths of an ancient park, and of course, the loud croaking of frogs in the pond. Perhaps those local frogs croaked this story to me? 
I just had to listen carefully and write it down. I hope that you, too, while reading the story of the Singing Frog, will embark on a journey to see the place of these magical events with your own eyes»‎.
