Former police officer Steve Wheeler enjoys life in retirement. Pub quizzes, his favorite bench by the pond, and his loyal cat named Bandit – these are his simple joys. The wild days are in the past: now adventures are the... domain of his fiancée Amy.

Amy Wheeler is not accustomed to sitting at home for long: right now she is guarding the famous writer Rosie D'Antonio on a private island in the Atlantic Ocean. Not a job, but a dream… So thinks Amy until the body of a star fitness blogger is found nearby, discarded to be eaten by sharks, along with a bag stuffed with money.

This is not the first victim, and the only thing that ties the murders together is that each time, Amy has been near the crime scene. Someone has opened a hunt on her, and Amy turns to the only person she trusts for help. A swift race begins across the globe, but will Amy, Steve, and Rosie be able to outpace a dangerous enemy?
