«The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes» — the first collection of stories about the famous detective and his friend — Dr. Watson. It is with these stories that the popular monthly illustrated British magazine «The Strand Magazine» began to introduce its readers to the investigations of the talented detective from Baker Street. The stories were illustrated by artist Sidney Paget, whose images of the characters later became classical.
