Gone with the Wind. Volume 1

Margaret Mitchell heard the stories of broken destinies due to the Civil War from her closest people – her parents. But she began writing her only novel, which brought her phenomenal success and the Pulitzer Prize, out of boredom when she injured her leg and was forced to stay at home. She abandoned it twice, thinking her work was worthless.
Her heroine, young Scarlett O’Hara, is smart, beautiful, and headstrong. The daughter of a wealthy landowner, she is used to getting everything she wants. Therefore, she is firmly determined to break off the engagement of Ashley Wilkes, the neighbor's son who she has long loved. But very soon the lives of those she loves – and her own – will be irrevocably changed: war is at the doorstep.
The first volume includes parts one through three.
