The lonely adventurer Tven, dreaming of escaping his dreary town of Severona, desperately needs money. At the doorstep of the shop «Vermilion» their paths cross. Tven and Kinta quickly realize that what lies behind the door is something that can change their fates. Inside, they discover a book that teaches how to weave precious lace from starlight. Soon, their lace attracts the attention of Kasorina, the ruler of Severona. She asks Kinta and Tven to sew a dress from starlight for her, promising a generous reward. But to fulfill the order, more material is needed, and the secret of the origin of starlight has long been lost. In search of answers, Tven and Kinta learn that the secret of starlight magic was not simply lost — it was destroyed. And there were good reasons for that…
