Faust

Doctor Johann Faust is not only a legendary figure but also a historical one: a scholar, doctor, or a black-magic sorcerer, charlatan and rogue, who lived in the 16th century in Germany (due to the passage of time, details of his biography remain unknown). Records exist of Faust's mysterious death, allegedly killed by the demon Mephistopheles. Under the pen of Johann Wolfgang Goethe, the medieval legend transformed into a great tragedy about the purpose of human existence, about the search for the meaning of life.
