Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva (1892–1941) – a great Russian poetess, prose writer, and translator. Tsvetaeva entered literature at the turn of the century, during a troubled and tumultuous time. Like many poets of her generation, she had a sense of the... tragedy of the world. The conflict with time turned out to be inevitable for her. She lived by the principle of being only herself. Marina Tsvetaeva's work became an outstanding and unique phenomenon in both the Silver Age culture and the entire history of Russian literature. Thanks to her, Russian poetry gained a new direction in the self-revelation of the female soul with its tragic contradictions. This book includes poems by M. Tsvetaeva written in different years of her life. M. Tsvetaeva's poems are included in the required reading program for literature in the 11th grade.
