Conclave

The author of the bestsellers «Enigma» and «Fatherland» this time offers us a thrilling detective story, in which human ambition challenges the power of the Lord. The Pope dies, and several candidates vie for his position. Organizing and conducting the conclave to elect a new pope is entrusted to Jacopo Lomeli, the dean of the College of Cardinals. The choice is difficult; not every candidate for the Holy See is pure and innocent of heart, and some are willing to commit any atrocity for power. Moreover, it turns out that the former pope was far from an angel… The plot of «Conclave» served as the basis for the eponymous feature film directed by Edward Berger.
