Deniska's Tales

Denis Korablyov is as much a childhood friend as Neznaika and Karlson, only he is not fictional, but a real boy. Victor Dragunsky wrote stories about him based on his son. More than half a century has passed since the first story was published, and the problems and joys of younger schoolchildren remain the same: they need to study, finish their porridge, and listen to adults. But the joys coincide as well: "I love going to cafes – eating ice cream and washing it down with soda. It stings my nose and tears come to my eyes."
