The action of the novel takes place on the shores of the White Sea in the forgotten by God city of Narvals, one of the thousand other ghost towns in Russia. The town would have been buried at the edge of eternal permafrost and forgotten, if not for one incident... A brutal murder occurs at an abandoned toy factory. Journalist Maria arrives at the crime scene and accidentally finds an ancient ivory box, which turns her whole life upside down. After some time, Maria discovers her abilities of clairvoyance, for which she will have to pay a high price. Whoever lives in the box will not leave the girl in peace until they get what they want...
