Alexander Pushkin (1799 -1837) – the greatest Russian poet, reformer, and creator of the new Russian literature, in his work gave the language an extraordinary lightness, sophistication, and at the same time precision of thought expression; he brought the folk speech closer to the literary language, which became his norm. The style of his works is recognized as exemplary.

He was capable of everything: philosophical, civic, and love poetry, translations, imitations of the ancients, and satirical genres, including epigrams.

Pushkin embodied his life and worldview quests in poems, reflecting the breadth of interests and transformation of the poet's views.
