Pskov, 1951. Near the railway station, the body of a local bully nicknamed Krokha is discovered. The cause of death was a powerful punch to the temple. The head of the operational department of the criminal investigation unit, Major Pavel Zverev, initially assumes that the incident is the result of a hooligan dispute. However, a suitcase with high-quality counterfeit rubles is found with Krokha. And that is a completely different matter.
