Guide for the Beginning Detective-Restorer

Astrid's life is successful: she restores paintings at the National Gallery and lives with her husband in London. But everything changes in an instant: first, a divorce, and then... a mysterious inheritance in Dorset. Astrid heads west, but upon arrival, she discovers that she has inherited not a seaside cottage, but an old boat.
Moreover, the 'English Fund,' in the estate of which she works, turns out to be a hotbed of intrigue, and then a local resident is found murdered in the area.
