The author's Lenorman Oracle by Vladimir Strannikov "Macaroni" represents a modified classic Lenorman deck, distinguished by the fact that all the symbolism of the main cards is presented through a plot or the participating characters. Perhaps for some, this may... seem not entirely convenient, as the key symbol of the card is not always obvious, but this approach allows, in addition to the basic meanings, to obtain additional information on the essence of the posed question. There are a total of 78 cards in the deck:36 basic cards from the Small Lenorman deck;37 additional cards: Macaroni, Fortune Teller, Wind, Choice, Dilemma, Mystery, Hot Air Balloon, etc., as well as duplicates of some cards, including the Rider and the Lady, Man and Woman in Anglo-Scandinavian and French traditions. You can use the duplicate cards at your discretion when fortune-telling, setting aside those you consider unimportant. As the author claims, it is best to start with the basic deck, without additional and duplicate cards, and then gradually add them to the oracle. Keep in mind that duplicates can have different possible interpretations, and additional cards significantly influence the structure of the deck, thus not only enriching the imagery but also making it more difficult to work with the deck. Therefore, it is recommended to work with additional cards only after preliminary practice. Why "Macaroni"?Throughout the 18th century, the tradition of foppish culture in England spawned many fashionable styles. “Macaroni” was the English fops of the 1760s–1770s. The macaroni style initially emerged among young London aristocrats but subsequently quickly spread among the fops of the middle class. Macaronis imitated Italian and French fashion styles: hence the nickname “macaroni” (in the manner of the modern “macarons”). Therefore, English domestic and satirical engravings of the 18th century were used for the collages of the deck, which fits perfectly into a divination system like Lenorman.
