The lives of the saints as presented by the well-known spiritual writer and publicist of pre-revolutionary Russia, Evgeny Poselyanin (E. N. Pogozhev; 1870 — 1931), were first published in 1907. In less than ten years, this multi-volume work went through several reprints. It is characterized by simplicity and clarity of presentation, as well as a good style. The proposed book contains the lives of holy women.
