Jack Reacher, a former military policeman, values his personal freedom above all else. Income, taxes, real estate — all of this is not for him, and long-term relationships with women, in Reacher's opinion, only burden a person. On the other hand, if a lady asks for help, then other people's problems are always easier to solve than one's own. In any case, Reacher has been handling this excellently until now. And now he agrees to help a lovely girl — by the way, she heads the special protection group for the Vice President of the United States, who has been targeted by a hidden enemy. The assassination is clearly planned, but one aspect has not been taken into account: Jack Reacher has intervened, and one can only feel sorry for anyone who plays by rules not his own.
