The type... of such a character was embodied in Prince Myshkin - the main character of the novel "Idiot", the greatest work of world literature and - universally recognized - the most mysterious novel of Dostoevsky.
Who is he, Prince Myshkin? A man who imagines himself to be Christ, intending to heal the souls of people with his boundless kindness? Or an idiot, not realizing that such a mission is impossible in our world?
