Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799–1837) — a great poet and classic of Russian literature, who laid the foundations of Russian realistic direction and initiated the emergence of a unified national literary language in Russia, a prose writer, publicist, literary critic, historian,... and playwright, as well as editor and publisher of the St. Petersburg magazine "Sovremennik".
